Half Marathon-Part two

Yesterday I finally ran the half marathon that I have been partly excited for and partly dreading. Surprisingly I enjoyed it (I know, the fact that I even finished it is surprising) and even finished ahead of my goal time. I must say though I'm pretty glad it's over. Those 4:30 training mornings were starting to get real old.



Thanks to my awesome bro. for being a good sport and letting me talk him into running it with me. Of course he kicked my trash but it was fun to train with him.

Precious gift of FaMiLy

Today has been one of those days where I am just overwhelmed with gratitude for all that my Heavenly Father has blessed me with. Most of all the precious gift an eternal family. I absolutely love being a mother and wife. I am so grateful for a loving and wonderful husband and two sweet, beautiful, healthy children. I truly feel like I could stay home and play with my kids every day for the next million years and it would never get old. I cherish every moment with them.

Afton is the sunshine in my life! She has been the happiest child since she was born. I really don't think I have ever had a hard day with her. She is my little shadow and best little friend. She was born on my birthday and we have shared a special bond ever since. I am so grateful for her sweetness in my life!!!!!













Hudson is definitely all boy. He is very rough but almost impossible to get mad at because he starts giving loves or kisses as soon as he does something bad (usually biting). He makes me laugh everyday and is such a bright face to wake up to every morning. I have such a crush on this kid!!!

Then there is Miah. He treats me with such respect and I truly have become such a better person since he came into my life. He is the kindest and most patient husband in the world (not that I ever try his patience:). We have so much fun as a family!!!

CrUiSe To BaHaMaS

My husband's work is the one who put the cruise together so we owe a big thanks to them! There were almost 600 people from all over the world from his company.

My sister-in-law Julie works with Miah so she and my Brother Brandon were on the cruise too. We had so much fun hanging out with them.


Me and sis-in-law Julie. I love, love, love her. I had so much fun being crazy together. We sang karaoke and stayed up late dancing pretty much every night. I kind of felt like a teenager again.

HALF Marathon........ Maybe...........

I thought it would be a good idea to sign up for the Hobble Creek half marathon because I WAS enjoying running so much. I soon realized I was enjoying it because I was only running a mile or two. I also realized that I didn't sign up with anyone somewhat intentionally, (if I don't finish no one knows how big of a looser I am). But now I am thinking it might help if someone runs it with me so that I have some motivation to actually run it. It's not until the end of August so really you have plenty of time to train. Anyone want in??????

Princess Afty turns THREE!

Yesterday Afton and I got to share a wonderful Birthday together. She is such a sweet little girl and I loved being able to share this special day with her. It was actually quite an eventful weekend. It started out with my mom taking me shopping ALL day Friday. It was so fun being able to spend a whole day with her and I appreciate her taking the day off of work and spoiling me! My husband also spoiled me. He took me out to dinner Friday and then to breakfast on Saturday. I love food!!! It was truly the best Birthday yet. I hope Princess Afton had as much fun as I did. Thanks to everyone who made our day extra special with all the Happy Birthday wishes and presents.

After Miah took us to breakfast we took Afton to build-a-bear. We had so much fun watching her. Of course she had to dress it in princess clothes.


Later that night my cute, cute dad paid for all the girls to go get pedicures. My favorite part of the whole thing was on our way there when I asked Afton if she knew what a pedicure was. She said "Yeah, it's a sandwich." It might not have been as good as a sandwich but I think she had fun anyway.







To top the day off Afton's uncle, Cortney, and her new best friend, Lala, decided it was time for us to start a farm. They surprised us with a miniature bunny and 6 chicks!











Don't be surprised if from here on out I just blog about Peter (that's what Afton named the bunny). The kids are old news now.

VEGAS TRIP

We were able to celebrate Miah's birthday in Las Vegas this year. We couldn't get too out of control because I had the fantastic idea of bringing the kids along. Actually we probably would have preferred to go somewhere else but Miah had a work meeting so me and the kids just decided to tag-a-long. Hope you had a great Birthday Babe!!

Easter

Easter was so much fun this year! Afton had a blast going to the Easter egg hunt and was so excited for the Easter bunny to come. Holiday's are so much fun with kids!!! They help me to remember those magical years of childhood when I would get so excited for the Holidays.
